Master programmes

The Top-up Bachelor's degree in Web Development qualifies you to join the labour market immediately after graduation. It is possible to apply for a Master’s degree in Denmark or abroad after graduating with a Top-up Bachelor's degree in Web Development, but admission is not guaranteed and you might have to take extra courses.

What you learn

The Top-up Bachelor's degree in Web Development is the natural top-up for multimedia design and computer science students, who want a stronger professional profile in the technical aspects of web development.

Frontend and backend programming as well as development environments are relatively technical subjects, which means that the student can not only design, but also implement systems. There is an increasing focus on web technologies in the IT area.

The education prepares you for a job working with technologies and development methods used in many different types of advanced web development projects, where the products are deployed to many different platforms and are developed in current web programming languages such as JavaScript or C#.

Content and structure

The Top-up Bachelor's degree in Web Development is a 1½-year study program offered to graduates from the AP degree in Computer Science or the AP degree in Multimedia Design and Communication.

The program is taught fully in English. You will be part of an international environment and will have the opportunity to meet students from Denmark, other European countries and other parts of the world.

The 3rd semester is a specialisation module, which includes an internship in a company or an organisation in Denmark or abroad. It is important that you take an active part in finding the internship that matches the professional profile you want to acquire. The internship will give you the opportunity to use the qualifications that you have obtained in class and put them into practice. The last semester will also include the final bachelor project.

The final bachelor project concludes the programme. The students choose the topic of their bachelor project in consultation with Cphbusiness and preferably with a company as well. This gives you the opportunity to apply principles in practice. Cphbusiness must approve the project outline.

Admission

Graduates from the AP degrees in Computer Science and Multimedia Design and Communication satisfy the admission requirements for the BA in Web Development. Other IT-related AP degrees will be assessed using criteria from the AP degrees in Computer Science and Multimedia Design and Communication.
